Ancient Tranquility Alpacas began in Colorado in early 2002. We learned about alpacas from a local magazine that did an article on alpaca farms in our area. We found the alpaca business fit what we were looking for in a business. We bought two female Huacaya Alpacas and soon added a third.

We moved back to our home state of Vermont in Aug. 2004. We are agisting our alpacas at Snowshoe Farm in Peacham. We both still work full time. This has worked out very well for us. Ron and Terry Miller are experienced alpaca people and we look forward to working closely with them to develop our business.

Our goal is to always breed toward genetics that will produce alpacas with great conformation and fine, dense fleece with excellent character that will process into high quality products. This keeps with the focus of the North American Alpaca Industry to produce the best alpaca fiber in the world to supply the high-end market. There is a high demand for this luxurious fiber that continues to exceed the supply.

Thanks for your interest in alpacas. We hope you enjoy learning about them. Please call with any questions or to talk about alpacas. If we can’t answer your questions we can put you in contact with others that can.
